The Rabbit in the Moon

rabbit in the moon

The Singing Winds presents “The Rabbit in the Moon and other Aztec legends,” written and directed by Cynthia Fortozo.

When people in ancient Mexico looked up at a full moon, they saw the outline of a rabbit in the gray patterns of its face. When they looked at the mountains surrounding their biggest city, they saw silhouettes of people forever frozen in time.

Come hear the stories of how these things came to be, in a giant puppet pageant featuring dancers from the Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl and the PS 230 puppeteers!
