In response to COVID-19 pandemic closures in 2020, Singing Winds summer teen leaders created the Virtual Playground – a series of online events and videos for children and their families.
Free art supplies were distributed in Albemarle Playground so that families could do the projects at home.

Your strong history of programming, engagement, and advocacy on behalf of Albemarle Playground makes us confident that you will utilize the tools in this selective training experience to strengthen your park improvement efforts.—

Recognizing our strong history of programming, engagement and advocacy on behalf of Albemarle Playground, the Partnership for Parks has selected Singing Winds to participate in their 2019 Community Visioning Cohort!
Through participation in a series of training workshops and Community Visioning Events, Singing Winds will offer interactive surveys to park-goers in Albemarle Playground in order to develop 1. new programming for children, teens and families, 2. a “Friends of . . .” volunteer group and 3. advocacy tools to support community engagement in capital improvements in the playground.
We are proud to announce that the Citizens Committee for New York has awarded us a 2017 Neighborhood Grant, to support Singing Winds’ activities in Albemarle Playground. Thank you! We are so grateful for the support that has been offered to our project.
